How to get a member stat to auto-fill a custom field?

Hello!

Each member has a "reaction score."

I have created a custom field called "Gold" in the Personal Details section of the profile.

I would like to have the reaction score auto-fill in to the Gold field ONE TIME (like, I run a cron job?) and then I would like to be able to manually edit that field as Admin, but NOT have it ever auto-update again.

Possible?

Reason: Am telling this because others might find it useful or funny. Am awarding each member "gold" based on their reaction...
